About

Hi! I’m Jessinia (she/her and they/them pronouns) and am a yoga student and teacher in Seattle. I’ve been practicing asana (postures) since I could walk, learning from my yoga teacher mom and expert arm-balancer dad. While managing my chronic illness and anxiety a few years ago, I started to deepen my home practice to get back into my body. I had to get creative on my mat when I didn’t have the capacity to do asana as I once could. This led me to my passion to learn more about yoga and to teach yoga in a more accessible way for any body at any time in their life. I am continually learning how to engage all eight limbs of yoga.

Acknowledgements:

I acknowledge that I am on the unceded ancestral land of Coast Salish Tribes, specifically the Duwamish (Dkhw Duw’Absh) people, a people that are still here.

I acknowledge that I am a white yoga teacher in the colonizing West. I work to honor the lineages of yoga, which originated in India, Egypt, and many indigenous practices around the world.
